Thank goodness for Nanas!  Recently Little C's Nana decided to tackle a cupcake recipe from the DC Cupcake recipe book while I was out of town. *Applause, Oohs & Aahs enter now*

Mission: Irish Creme

The two girls wrote their own blog post this time - see below:

It was a very fun recipe to make. Irish creme cupcakes are the most delicious thing we have ever tasted. Cupcakes are out of the oven and, trust me, they taste as good as they look and smell. These are the cupcakes that we made. Don't they look delicious?

These cupcakes were too good to be true. Everyone loved them. Even the grown-ups liked them. These cupcakes are so delicious that they would blow your tastebuds right off. They had a chocolatey and Irish taste. The frosting was a vanilla creamy taste. The frosting was crusty and then when you bit down, smooth and creamy.

The Cupcake Bake-Off!

Little One's cousin decided to challenge her to a duel.  A cupcake duel.
Her response? "He thinks he can beat me? That's cute."

Ha! Oh my goodness. That is what we call cupcake confidence folks.

Lucky for her, she is a girl scout.... and you know what that means? THIN MINTS!

The DC Cupcake crew have a cupcake for that! Of course they do. It would be the only way to improve a thin mint. Put it in a cupcake.

We employed the help of lil' bro and fellow girl scout friend, Little G. First up - a photo of the competition. He has his game face on.

 Next up, the "help"

Do you see why "help" is in quotations?

And lastly, the noble, trusty girl scouts:

The girls loved crushing the cookies and adding the "dirt" to the batter.

The came out smelling delicious - even before the frosting!

The ganache frosting looked good enough - then they added more crushed thin mints on top.

 A little mint for appearance.

It was such a fun day, and after the (un-biased... I swear!) judges were lined up. The winner was........

The Thin Mint Cupcake. DC recipes came through again!

Good Job to both Little One (her girl scout friend, and "helpful" lil bro) and her brave competition!
